[Enter the portion of the date where Ellie slumps quietly against the edge of the table, slowly but steadily eating her way through a burger bigger than she is. About halfway through she slows down, but resolutely keeps going.

Soon, she looks ready for a nap. She probably shouldn't have eaten all of that at once.]

I didn't remember being here at all, but I think a part of me still missed it, you know? And then I showed up here and everything just came jumping at my face again.

[Riley does better with pacing herself since she's used to actually being able to have food, getting food, eating her fill of food. She does see that stuff going on with Ellie though and makes a note to portion control her.

Mostly so she doesn't get sick in the future while her stomach grows again.]

[It forces Ellie to resist looking behind her. Every time Riley tugs the basket away, she tugs it back, but makes it a point to eat more slowly. She's fucked this up before.]

[Ellie lets her, but will steal it back as soon as Riley gets wrapped up in what she's saying again. It immediately results in a fight that spills the almost totally empty basket.]

[Quickly, she catches food before it falls, her finely trained Assassin instincts helping her out. Bringing the lost food back, she steals a bite as payment.]

[Like a cat, Ellie casts around for something else, and slaps a ketchup bottle towards Riley's end of the table. If she doesn't catch it, it'll go crashing onto the floor.]

[She catches that too and rights it so it doesn't just fall over. Then she's laughing.]

[Ellie scarfs one last fry, then takes a sip of her drink as she stands, dragging her hands back through her hair.]

[Riley smirks then heads for the door. Grabbing Ellie's hand, she drags her right around to the side of the building. There's no easy way up but she's grinning at her girlfriend anyway.]

[She's gripping her hand so tight, as though Riley might disappear, though her smile is completely at ease.]

[Ellie moodily flaps their hands up and down, still clinging.

[She laughs then runs and kicks from one wall to the other until she's up on the roof. There she pokes her head over with a grin before holding out a rope.]

You're gonna make me climb a rope when you can just fly me up there?

[Ellie snorts, but lifts a hand. It takes a moment, but the familiar feeling is right there under the surface, and her powers rise up inside her, roaring back to life. It's like riding a bike, she suspects, even if she's never learned how.
